Celebrate Your Wedding at Dacre Hall

Dacre Hall, in the beautiful and tranquil setting of Lanercost village, offers a unique and ancient venue for your special day. The hall, which was once a private residence in the 1500’s, offers a 30-metre-long great hall with large windows and a magnificent fireplace. There are the remains of what were once fine wall paintings on the north wall of the hall. Steeped in history this special hall provides a blank canvas for you to make your wedding day uniquely yours.

Whilst the hall is not licenced as an approved civil ceremony premises, it is possible to arrange an intimate bespoke ceremony through Cumberland Council Registrar’s office, for more information about this visit the council’s website.

To celebrate in style after your ceremony the magnificent hall allows you to banquet in style in these historic surroundings. Take a look at our gallery for ideas and inspiration from weddings past. The Hall will seat 90 people.

The Dacre Hall is not licenced to sell alcohol, but it is possible to hire a mobile bar for your celebrations.
